Carry that Weight
I’m not the biggest Beatles fan. I see them as important to the development of pop and psychedelia music but the majority of there songs are not in my regular circulation. There are a couple songs that really jive me. Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite and Maxwell’s Silver Hammer stand out (I really like songs that double as a news segments). One message from the Beatles sticks with me more than any of their melodies.
Carry That Weight
The acknowledgement that whatever you do from a single point, would equal the achievements of before. It’s a hell of a thought. To realise that a single point might be the best you’ll ever be.
It takes some real foresight from George, Paul, John and Ringo to know that this is the beginning of the end.
I fear I don’t have that foresight. I fear that I might have already hit my peak.
